Got Our Visas

 ​Hey everyone!

Just want to let you know that everything is going great! It is so beautiful here at the CCM! Today our group of around 29 missionaries got to go on a little trip outside of the CCM to sign our visas. It's part of the process that will allow us to extend our stay in Mexico for our missions. It was like a whole new world! The CCM is like its own world because its so different from the Mexico outside of the gates. So it was fun to visit the "real" Mexico for a while ;)

Tuesday my companions and I had our first TRC! This is where we have the opportunity to teach real volunteers (not CCM teachers in disguise) who are either non-members, less-active, or members of the Church. I was so nervous! This was like the real thing! We taught a young woman named Brenda. She was so nice and sweet. She had a soft voice and she talked fast though so I had to pay extra close attention so I could understand what she was saying. It was the coolest experience! I know Heavenly Father was there helping me because I understood most of what she said and I was able to respond and teach her in Spanish. The Spirit was there with us as we taught. I could feel it, and I really think Brenda did too. I am surprised at how fast time goes by when teaching about the gospel! I used to think 20 minutes was a long time for a lesson, and I wondered how I would be able to take up that much time teaching, but now I wonder how I can have enough time to teach and I find myself wanting more. Sharing this true and everlasting gospel and being able to look into the eyes of our brothers and sisters and see a change take place their hearts—that's the best feeling in the world. One of my favorite parts of being here at the CCM is teaching lessons and seeing something special happen in the eyes of those I teach as the truthfulness of the gospel is unfolded to them and they are able to receive a witness of its truth. I have been learning and growing so much. I love being here and I love the strong spirit I have felt here. I love you all so much! Thank you for all your love and support! :) te quiero!
