What Are We Willing To Do To Follow Jesus Christ?

Hey Everyone,

I just want to share what we learned in my ward about a week ago. Hermana Lulu was teaching the class (the Gospel Principles class for the missionaries in the ward and our investigators) and she asked us each what are we willing to do to follow Jesus Christ. This simple question really got me thinking; what am I willing to  do to follow Him? It reminded me of Aaron (who was recently baptized in the Pastora ward which is in the same stake as us in the Guadalupe ward). Hermana Martinez and I had the opportunity to have him accompany us in a few lessons and he told us a bit about his story. He was just baptized two weeks ago, and he told us of how important he knows it is to go to church. He has to work super late Saturday night and when he gets back home he has  just enough time to shower and get ready for church. Then afterward he has to go directly back to work again. He doesn't sleep in two days so that he can go to church.

Back to the question that Hermana Lulu asked us, "what are you willing to do to follow Jesus?" Aaron is willing to give up sleep for two days to follow Him and keep the commandment of attending church every Sunday. I was really inspired by Aaron's story and his willingness and determination to follow Jesus Christ as a new convert. I answered the question of Hermana Lulu for myself thinking, "well, I chose to follow Christ by choosing to be here and teach the gospel in Monterrey Mexico, but what more am I willing to do to follow Him? Am i willing to give up my pride and allow him to help me become better, forget what I want and align my will with His, show Him by my actions that I love him and trust Him? Yes, I am :)

I invite you all to answer Hermana Lulu's question too. I love you!

Hermana Nicolosi

me and my companion hermana martinez. i recieved a christmas package from home! :)
Mom, I received the package! I was so excited! I just received it yesterday! Mom, thank you so much! I opened the package and for a moment I felt like you were all here with me. Warm, happy memories of past Christmas' at home came to my mind—traditional goodies and all! And I can hardly wait to open my PJ gift Christmas Eve! ;) I'm forcing myself to wait, haha ;)

My companion, Hermana Martinez, was so excited to receive a stalking and goodies as well! Thank you so much for thinking of her as well. She was feeling a bit worried because her Christmas package from home hasn't come, so it lifted her spirit :) I love you so much!

How was thanksgiving? Did you all go down with dad's family like we do every year?

Love,

Olivia
